About OhioKAN

OhioKAN is a flexible and responsive kinship and adoption navigator program designed to support children, youth and their families. Building on the premise that families are inherently capable of finding solutions to the circumstances and challenges they face, OhioKAN takes an engaging and genuine approach to strengthening families and their networks.

About DCY

OhioKAN is an official program of the Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY). The Ohio Department of Children and Youth's mission is to promote positive, lifelong outcomes for Ohio youth through early intervention, quality education, and family support programs.

About Kinnect

OhioKAN is a DCY Program managed by Kinnect. Kinnect is a nonprofit organization built on the belief that family is the foundation of stability and belonging. For more than 20 years, Kinnect has worked alongside young people, caregivers, agencies, and communities to design and deliver programs that value connection over separation.
