Christian Combs

Navigator, Cadence Care Network (Region 4)

Christian graduated from Kent State University in 2006 with a Bachelors in Child Development and Family Studies. From 2007-2020 she worked at Columbiana County Children Services, completing investigations and ensuring the safety of children. She often worked with agencies in the county to ensure the family was utilizing resources that benefit them and, when possible, located kin when placement was needed to avoid foster care. From 2020-2024 she worked at Cadence Care for the Family Success Network as a Family Coach, working with families to decrease the likelihood of entering the children services system. She is certified in teaching Triple P parenting as well as financial literacy. While working at FSN, Christian volunteered on the safe sleep committee in Trumbull County. In 2022, she experienced being a kinship caregiver herself. This experience gave her more insight to the struggles caregivers face and the frustration families have while navigating the system for help.
