TAC Training

Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) is a national training program designed for mental health practitioners to gain clinical knowledge and skills to effectively serve the adoption kinship network. TAC is an accredited post-Master’s curriculum designed by C.A.S.E. with the assistance of a National Advisory Board of adoption experts.

WHO IS THIS FOR

Post graduate clinicians working with young people who have been adopted or are in kinship or foster homes. Upon completion of the final assessment, this program is approved for Continuing Education through NASW.

WHEN ARE THEY

Trainings are held the twice a month from August 2024 - June 2025, from 9am – 12:30pm.

  • Module 1 - trainees will complete this first independent module by August 13th 
  • Module 2 - August 13th and August 27th 2024, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)
  • Module 3 - September 17th and October 1st , 2024, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)
  • Module 4 October 15th and October 30th 2024, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)
  • Module 5 - November 12th and November 19th 2024, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)**modified cadence for holiday
  • Module 6 - December 10th and December 17th 2024, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)**modified cadence for holiday
  • Module 7 - January 14th and January 28th , 2025, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)
  • Module 8 - February 11th and February 25th, 2025, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)
  • Module 9 - March 11th and March 25th, 2025, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)
  • Module 10 - April 15th and April 29th 2025, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)
  • Module 11 - May 13th and May 27th 2025, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)
  • Module 12 (final) - June 10th and June 24th 2025, from 9am to 12:30pm (virtual)
